Meet Our Team

Stuart D. Atnip

President

Stuart Atnip never planned to take over American Title from his dad. In fact, he considered his part-time work at American Title during college nothing more than a stepping stone to his ultimate goal of becoming an accountant. But it was during this time when Stuart realized that title work fascinated him. He discovered that every property and every title were different, so each required finding creative and nuanced solutions for customers. In 1997, he started working at American Title full-time, and he eventually bought the business from his dad in 2004. Since then, Stuart has assembled a team of knowledgeable and dedicated employees, and together they tackle this ever-changing and challenging work. Moreover, as an active member of the Casper community, he takes immense pride in the contributions his business makes to growing the local economy. When he’s not busy at work or on the golf course, Stuart, his wife Brandi, and their two kids love spending time at their cabin on Casper Mountain, camping in the Wind River mountains, or fishing.

Carla Stauch

Carla Stauch

Closer

Having spent her entire professional life working in real estate, Escrow Officer Carla Stauch has knowledge that less experienced agents will likely never acquire. She started her career as a loan processor, prepared closing documents and eventually became a Loan Officer at some local banks. She has worked for American Title for 18 years.  She is deeply familiar with the documents she prepares, and she understands the formulas and numbers that are now just plugged into a computer system, because she used to calculate them herself. This knowledge has proven valuable throughout her career, because it improves the service she provides to customers. She firmly believes in explaining the documents that customers sign, and, most importantly, providing that service in a timely manner. Watching a new home owner purchase their first home is incredibly rewarding for Carla, and she loves to help people close on their dream. As a former Casper College and Black Hills State player (and graduate), basketball season is Carla’s busiest time of year.  She loves following the local teams, as well as the University of Wyoming.  She also likes to spend her time at the lake on her jet ski and enjoying her family.

Paula Hatcher

Title Agent

In her sixteen years at American Title Agency, Paula Hatcher largely works behind the scenes as a title agent. Her attention to detail is her greatest asset and allows her to effectively identify any problems or inconsistencies with a property that is being searched. She conducts investigations into different aspects of the title to ensure that any potential problem is solved. Accuracy and efficiency are always her top priority, and Paula aims to complete her work and issue a commitment within 24 hours whenever possible. Although she finds it extremely difficult to leave the office before all of her work is complete, she stays busy spending time with her family. They enjoy spending time at Alcova Lake during the summer months and can be found cheering on their favorite football teams in the fall and winter months
